System logs

System logs are internal event logs of the Website server which automatically store webpage requests received when users visit the Website. System logs include the webpage request sent from the user’s device, IP address, browser type, language used in the browser, date and time of the request and at least one cookie file which allows clear identification of the browser.

Cookie files

Cookies are small files containing a string of characters which are saved on the user’s device (desktop, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when the user visits the Website. This information is stored in the browser clipboard which the browser sends back during consecutive visits. Cookie files contain data necessary for the correct use of the Website. Saving these files on the user’s device allows, among other things, to remember the login details, keep the login session active or customize webpages to user preferences, including content arrangement, language, and color.

What types of cookie files are used?

The Website uses three main categories of cookie files:

Necessary files – allow correct performance of the Website and its features (for example, authentication cookie files). Without saving them on the user’s device, it is impossible to use the Website.

Functional files – store settings chosen by the user in order to customize the Website experience, including the language, font size, and webpage appearance. This type of cookies allows the Service Provider to improve the functionality and performance of the Website.

Business files – include advertising cookies, etc., and allow implementation of the Service Provider’s business model. Blocking these files may lower the quality of services due to Service Provider’s inability to achieve income supporting the Website operation, but will not cause unavailability of the Website’s entire functionality.

Managing the cookie files

Usually, the browser settings allow storing cookie files on the device by default. If the user does not agree to saving such files, it is necessary to appropriately change the Internet browser settings. It is possible to disable saving cookie files for all connections made from a particular browser or for specified websites, and also to remove such files. The method of managing cookie files depends on the used software, therefore detailed information and instructions concerning cookies can be found in the documentation of the Internet browser used to access the Website.
